You know those daft ideas that somehow turn into something massive? This was one of those…
When Activision said Verdansk was coming back for Call of Duty: Warzone’s fifth anniversary, one question lit up the gaming world: “who are you dropping in with?” That legendary in-game moment where you parachute onto the map. Everyone knew who they wanted by their side. But no one expect to drop in with EE, a UK mobile network set on earning its place in the gaming world.
We dropped in on the biggest gaming event of the year with an epic return to where it all began. Partnering with Call of Duty streamer AaronTheLoco, we reunited him with his OG squad he hadn’t played with since the map first launch.
Then, at 15,000 feet above ground, they jumped. Streaming live as they plummeted toward a custom-built Verdansk-themed hangar. Inside waited top-tier rigs from EE Game Store, all powered by EE’s network.
As they hit the ground, the Verdansk map went live. Fans got the first look, exclusive skins and a community-hyped code drop that had the whole stream buzzing.
